This weekend I'm going to my friend's Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies party on Friday. We're all supposed to wear or bring something to eat or drink representing a country - I'm going to be Wales in a rugby jersey.

We have no other plans. Floated some potential V-day type activities but no firm plans have been made. I might have roller derby practice on Sunday.

I have had the worst week (the last two days have been HELL). I have never been so grateful for a four day weekend in my life. Tomorrow, my plans are to do NOTHING. I was going to clean, but I think I'm going to read comfort books, watch MST3K movies, and try like hell not to overeat (oh my god did I pick the wrong week to go on a diet). And probably cry a lot.

We don't really have any other plans, except that we want to go to Powell's at some point and sell another load of books. I'd love to go see a movie and get out of my head for a couple of hours, but there's not much out there we both want to see.

Tonight we're going to dinner and to see "Noises Off" with a friend to go see another friend that is in the musical. Tomorrow we have no plans set yet. I need to run some errands and get some stuff done. We'll probably have dinner or hang out with some friends if they don't have plans already. Sunday Bill has a school performance in the afternoon so we'll both be at that. We have no V-Day plans. I think V-Day is stupid and annoying, and I'm kind of tired of going out when everywhere has over-priced, usually bad V-Day specials. If we go out it will just be somewhere not fancy. What I want to do is have Bill make me dinner and I want to try to make creme brulee for the first time with my new kitchen torch! We'll have to go to the store to get supplies for that though, so I don't know if that will happen or not. I don't really have much on Monday except an oboe lesson. Yay for President's Day!!

Our weekend will go in one of three directions. In either case, tonight will be just chilling out - I might stop by a friend's house for a glass of wine on the way home but outside of that, I'm just going to catch up on housework while drinking wine, watching What Not To Wear and waiting for Matt's alpha ass to finally make it home.

Direction 1: We drive to Fort Lauderdale for Ruggerfest, see a bunch of friends, go to the party, stay on the beach, come back relatively early so I can make it to derby practice.

Direction 2: Just I do the above. Matt may or may not rent a car for the weekend, depending on how much he has to work.

Direction 3: We both stay in Orlando. Beyond Derby, I have no idea what would happen this weekend if we do that. They're setting up this Chillounge temporary lounge thing on Lake Eola that sounds pretty cool. Maybe I'll see if I can score a couple of passes to that.

Regardless, Sunday will be sleeping in, late breakfast, derby practice and that's about it for me.

We are going to visit Philip's family this weekend, and I will either break down and go work on Sunday or stay home and spend the day cleaning (I'm leaning heavily towards the latter).

Last night, I worked late and then came home, watched Weeds Season 5 on DVD and went to bed pretty late. I purposefully made no plans this weekend so that I could just laze about and get some much-needed rest.

Today, I got up at noon, showered, put on clean pajamas, and spent the afternoon and the evening thus far watching Instant Play movies from my Netflix queue thanks to my new Blu-Ray dvd player. Tomorrow, I plan to do the exact same thing. At some point, I should clean up my apartment and put away last week's clean laundry and things like that, but I'll probably just work on fusing my couch to my ass instead.

This weekend, Philip has yet another doctor's appointment Saturday morning. But we are hoping to go TV shopping after that's done. I don't know if we'll actually buy anything or just comparison shop/research shop, but we might. We also talked about going to see a movie, possibly The Fantastic Mr. Fox at a third-run theater, but that really depends on how the rest of the day goes. Sunday, I am going to make myself come in to work because I have report cards due next week and there's no way I'm getting them done unless I spend some weekend time on it. Somewhere in there I'd like to get some cleaning done, but that's (as usual) pretty far down on the priority list.

Tonight I'm home alone. We are both so busy during the week these days that Friday nights are becoming the time when I catch up around the house, and you know what? I'm starting to enjoy it. Weird. Anyway, I have a hot date with a bottle of wine, a baked potato, some asparagus and laundry, WNTW, etc, etc. Oh, and Chuck. I told him to watch it w/o me last night and I'd catch it while he works later tonight.

Tomorrow we are LOOKING AT HOUSES. I am a teeny tiny bit excited about this. Oh wait. I'm a total spaz.

I don't know how long that's going to take, but if the timing works out I may suggest we go see Cop Out Saturday night, now that we're past the opening weekend crowds.

Sunday I have brunch, then a roller derby recruitment event followed by a party with the girls, then I'm headed to my favorite drag queen's house for his legendary Oscar party. It's going to be challenging finding an outfit that will get me through THAT day.

The only set plans that I have so far is that we're going to see Alice in Wonderland Saturday night! I already bought the tickets since the fancy theater near our house that has dinner during the movie is always sold out on weekends. We're going with a bunch of people, too, so I wanted to guarentee that we all got tickets.

Tonite I am doing absolutely nothing. Tomorrow I have to work 7-4, possibly 7-7:30. If I end up working a 12.5 hour day tomorrow, I might stab someone. At 8 I have a going away party for someone from work. Sunday morning I'm going out to brunch, the rest of Sunday I'm cleaning my apartment like crazy because Lawrence is coming into town on the 15th.

This weekend is me lying on the couch with my foot propped on three pillows. It could be worse. I'm missing a house party with Hamell on Trial, which totally sucks and I think Aaron should go, but at least this isn't the weekend I'm supposed to be in Boston or Vegas!

I have today off work, so I got up at the crack of dawn this morning and went to the Texas dps office to finally get a Texas drives license. Since then I've had lunch, made a quick trip to the grocery, washed my car, cleaned out my car, and vacuumed my car. Soon I will take a nap. Then I will clean my kitchen living room and bedroom. I'm supposed to go to happy hour, but that probably won't happen. Tonite I will color my hair. Tomorrow I will work and workout. Sunday I will do laundry and clean the bathroom. Monday Lawrence arrives, Tuesday my vacation starts and Wednesday SXSW starts. I can not wait.

Tonight, staying in with movies, takeout, and a phone date with Leon.

Tomorrow, going to IKEA and Costco with Alex, so that I can return a lamp I bought last month that never worked at IKEA and then we are doing our monthly Costco trip. I have no plans beyond that and I am THRILLED about this. Oh, and I'm on call, for days 17, 18, and 19 in a row.

I just got home from IKEA, where I bought a table, 2 chairs for said table, covers for the chairs, some decorative stuff for my apartment, a replacement lamp that works, and some additional containers to organize my shelves that I use as a pantry. And then I got some much-needed stuff at Costco. I spent a ton of money, but I am almost done setting up my home (8 months after moving in) and I shouldn't need to buy anything besides groceries for a few weeks.

But I am damned exhausted from traipsing around two giant warehouse stores for hours, so I am going to assemble this stuff and then lay in bed watching movies all night.

My plans have changed for tomorrow. I have a morning work meeting from 9-11 and then I'm meeting some friends downtown at a huge park for a gorgeous day of 75-80 degree weather, a picnic, dogs, checking out hotties and kites. Hundreds of kites, its Kite Fest tomorrow!

Friday was Bingo Night at my school, so I helped to set up and then Philip and I played a few games just to put in an appearance. We actually intended to play for much longer than we did, but it was packed and I was very tired so we got home fairly early. Saturday we spent the morning cleaning and grocery shopping, and in the afternoon/evening we had Harmony, toph and Jasper over for tacos and baby giggles. Such baby giggles! Today we have been doing more and more cleaning (my dad will be staying with us in another couple of weeks but we'll be out of town next weekend so it has to be done now). I also finally started FFXIII, which is gorgeous.

Earlier this week Kevin flew in to Missoula to surprise his mom and install our sound system at the theatre. Friday night we spent finishing up the install of our sound system. Then I had to take him back to Missoula Saturday morning for him to fly back to Seattle. We had plans to have breakfast at this awesome local breakfast joint with friends before taking him to the airport, but they were packed and the wait was 20 minutes so we just went to Cracker Barrel instead. Only 1 friend was actually able to make it, so it was a small little going-away party. Then we dropped Kev off and went shopping at Ross (we don't have a Ross here so it's my special Missoula treat) and I got these shoes for $24.99 and these for $9.99 (will cross post them to the shoes thread) and some gifts. Then I dropped Jess off at her new apartment and drove the 2 hours back home to my puppies. Then I had to go to Walmart to pick up a prescription refill and some other stuff and I went to bed early as hell. Today I got up, lounged a bit, took a shower and then headed to work. (I had to work 3 more hours for the week in order to make up for leaving early on Wednesday to pick Kev up from the airport) I got a lot done and then I headed to Kmart and got some random crap and then came home to relax with the puppies. I needed some relaxation after this week.

I'm having people over for dinner tonight - reisling chicken, brown rice, big green salad with homemade honey mustard.

Tomorrow... I'm not sure. Matt might or might not be working. We might or might not be moving on a house. I might be doing nothing but reading by the pool. Who knows? It's a mystery day! And tomorrow night is a mystery night!

Sunday is derby boot camp followed by two hours of skate practice. It's gonna be rough, I know already.

Tonight entirely depends on today. Meaning, I am waiting to see if there is any fallout from something at work (I am not in trouble, it's just a very, VERY stressful parent to deal with). If there is, I may need to just go home and cry on the couch tonight, honestly. If not, then I might be up to seeing a movie or something, but I told Philip that I just can't make any plans until I know. But tomorrow we are off to Philip's grandmother's house for her birthday. My parents are arriving from California sometime Sunday, but they will be seeing my sister first and probably not us at all until Monday anyway, so Sunday will probably be about last-minute cleaning.

I only have two classes left and bus supervision and then I am offically on SPRING BREAK!!!!!! Man, do I need a week off like nobody's business. Tonight we will probably go out for dinner since we have been really good all week about staying home and cooking every night. A local Italian place is having some special today for St. Joseph's day if you wear red. I don't remember what the deal was, but if your name was Joe or Joseph or Josephina, or any variation, you get your dinner for free! I think it's just half off if you wear red or something like that.

Tomorrow I have nothing during the day, but then I'm going with Bill's school band to a hockey game tomorrow night. They are playing the National Anthem and then watching the game, so I'm tagging along. It's been way too long since I've been to a hockey game! Sunday we have Bill's sister's birthday party with his family. Yay, I *so* love hanging out with Bill's crazy, annoying family. I do love his sister though, so I will have fun for her.

Jamie, I want the recipe for your riesling chicken - I love all wine-based chicken recipes, it seems.

I am going to be frantically packing, doing laundry, and cleaning tonight. Tomorrow at 5 a.m., I leave for the airport to spend five days in Boston at a national conference. It will be glorious. But it will also be exhausting, since I don't think I will get any sleep tonight. Oh, and I have to go buy pants after work because I tore the last pair of black pants I had that fit, and I am not skilled enough at alterations to take any of the others in tonight.

I can't really make plans tonight because Matt is still in stupid ALPHA on his BIRTHDAY, so we don't know when he's coming home. I'm basically going to head back and chill out till he shows up and we'll play it by ear - either stay in or head out, depending on what he feels like.

Tomorrow we are leaving open because our friend arrives in FL from Wales and we want to get together but aren't sure what to do or when. If this evolves into dinner with her, fine. If not, I'll probably grill us some steaks because that's what Matt requested for his belated bday dinner.

Sunday I have derby boot camp/practice, which I'm looking forward to because 1) it's not as hard as I thought it would be to run with my skates held over my head and 2) I've been getting some extra skate time recently and I'm impatiently waiting for it to pay off in skills practice. Any day now.

After that, I might stop by a fundraiser at a gay bar where they auction off "Easter bonnets" which are really prize packages. I hear it's a great time and several of my coworkers are going, but it's really going to depend on how I feel after practice.

Yesterday we took my aunt and MIL out to dinner, and then Philip and I were going to go see The Fantastic Mr. Fox. But we got to the theater a little late and there was ZERO parking (there's no lot, it's all street parking, and the only open spots were "30 mins only"). We drove around and around hoping to catch someone leaving until it was actually the movie's start time, then gave up and came home. I was very disappointed as I'd been looking forward to a movie all day, and we can't go today or tomorrow because of other obligations, but oh well. We came home and I watched Philip play PixelJunk Shooter until it was time for bed.

Today we are spending the day with my parents and my niece. My mother is very sick and very bitter about it, poor thing. All I know about what we're doing today is that Mom wants to bake "rainbow cupcakes" and is annoyed with us because we have no baking materials. Tomorrow... actually, tomorrow I have no idea what we're doing, but since my mother goes back to California tomorrow afternoon I'm assuming we're going to breakfast or something, and then Dad will be moving his stuff to our place and settling in. I bet we'll be babysitting my niece as well.

My weekend starts tonight. Pick Matt's parents up from airport, take 'em for some pizza, then we head back. I'll probably stay home and pack while one or both of them go to Matt's hockey game. Then an early morning - with breakfast - before heading to Port Canaveral to board the ship for Matt's cousin's wedding cruise.

I'm nervous about the boarding/wedding day. There's no chance to change or eat. We have to get up early then drive 2 hours in our dress clothes and they recommended "a hearty breakfast." We're boarding early and then having the wedding while the rest of the passengers board. I'm just picturing a lot of uncomfortable, hungry sitting around. I hope I'm wrong.

After that, though, it's cruise city through Sunday morning. I MIGHT make it to derby practice Sunday afternoon. And then we're definitely meeting up with our friend from Wales Sunday night because that never happened last weekend. We're going to this tapas place on I-Drive that has artists working live inside and all kinds of neat stuff to look at. Very Orlando.

Saturday, we're meeting up with my parents and my sister and her family for lunch in the suburbs, and then he is hanging out with his brother and a very famous Chicago Bears athlete, and they are meeting at my place and ohmygod I might lose my mind if this really happens. Sunday, he goes to the airport. Sunday night, I am going to be sad.

My weekend starts today! Woooooo! This week has been just straight up exhausting. My body is still not over Spring Break yet, and I've been sleeping really shitty all week and been super busy and I just feel like I am going to fall over and die. I feel a little more energized today since it's the weekend and I slept a little better. Not great though. Anyway, so tonight we have an Easter service that we are playing for, tomorrow night we have the same thing. Not sure what we're going to do tomorrow during the day, we might hang out with Bill's cousin and her kids during the day, run some errands. . .my watch battery died sometime during the night last night so I will have to get that replaced ASAP before I go crazy! It's still kind of holding on, but it's running really slow. After the service tomorrow night we will likely hang out or have dinner with some friends.

Saturday my friend Elisa and her husband Dave are coming to hang out and run some errands that they need to do. They live in the middle of nowhere so they have to either drive up here or down to Bloomington to really do anything. Sunday we have three Easter services, and we'll have to be there super early, but at least we're getting paid for it! After that we have Easter dinner with Bill's family which will just be so AWESOME. Bill's mom already asked him this week to go to mass with them, but we can't because are playing at another church at the same time, so she was mad at him that we weren't going with them. Yesterday she was talking to him again about it and was like, "Well, you ARE going to go to mass sometime on Easter, right?" and he reminded her that we are playing THREE Easter services that morning, but apparently that's not good enough because it's not "their" church (meaning, not Catholic). Can't wait to listen to that shit Sunday.

Philip is taking tomorrow off, so our weekend sort of starts tonight too. My dad is babysitting today (and tomorrow, and all weekend) but will be home tonight, so we're going to have our pizza-and-a-movie night tonight instead of Friday. Dad wants to see Sherlock Holmes, so I need to find it and buy it today (we want to own it anyway).

Tomorrow, Philip and I had plans to go to the coast for a daytrip, but with all the snow in the passes we decided against it. Instead, we are going to spend the day doing stuff like going to Powell's and Pix, probably comic book stores and anything else we can think of. We might go see Clash of the Titans but I doubt it. We are for sure going to see the Faux Film Festival (I guess it's stuff like commercials for fake products, fake TV shows, etc) at the Hollywood Theater in the evening.

Saturday, I have no idea. It all depends on how long Dad has to babysit and whether or not he wants us to come over and help out (I'm betting he will, as he's already pretty fed up with babysitting and will be more so by then). Sunday, I'm going to go work and try to get everything ready for the hell that awaits me once school starts up again. But I don't even want to think about that yet.

Aaron's brother is coming in this weekend, and Aaron needs to do lots of work on his vintage scoot in preparation for next weekend's rally (my scoot is good to go).

I'm hoping to spend a little time on the scooter this weekend. No riding the motorcycle until cleared by the doctor to use my foot to shift; luckily the scooter is grip-shift.

Basically I'm guessing that we'll be out at Aaron's dad's house while Aaron's working on the bike. I'll read, knit, and listen to my iPod. Saturday night is WVU versus Duke (let's go, Mountaineers!).

Leon missed his flight tonight - he left home about six hours before his flight so that he had plenty of time to make the drive and pick up a couple of things along the way, except that there was a huge accident on the highway (partially caused by rock slides in the area) that backed up traffic for hours. So he got to the airport about 30 minutes before departure (and was already checked in) and the TSA refused to let him jump the line, so we decided to divide and conquer as if we were on The Amazing Race - he tried to deal with the customer service people in person, and I worked the phones. And, we were able to book him on a 6 a.m. flight tomorrow morning that gets into O'Hare at 7 (uh...6.5 hours from now, I guess I should go to bed) so that we can finally start our weekend of fun. I was freaking out that maybe he wouldn't get to visit this weekend, but there is no problem that cannot be solved by taking a deep breath and throwing some money at the resolution.

Our plans have firmed up a bit, too. We're having lunch with friends on Friday and possibly dinner with other friends on Friday night (we're going to a Brazilian steakhouse for a belated anniversary dinner since we both love meat and binge-eating) and Saturday is the Meet the Parents lunch in the suburbs. That night we're going to dinner with his brother and his friend, and then Sunday he's cooking brunch for us and I am in charge of mimosa-making. And then he goes home on Sunday night, boooo.
