I saw most of it, but I missed the very end because the TiVo started to record something else so the channel changed.

Oh man, he really brought it home at the end.

There were some good moments. He did talk about DADT, although he did not actually say those words and the language was pretty weak - he said he'd work with Congress and the military over the next year to repeal, which could mean a lot of things. I think he could have also timed it better, piggybacking it on the back of the veterans stuff. Moving on to nuclear stuff then talking about DADT made it feel a little tacked on.

I liked when he said "That's how budgeting works."

And I also liked when he called out the GOP for stymieing Obama at every step.

There were definitely some pretty pointed comments towards the GOP which I thought were awesome. I loved how they would pan to the Rebuplicans and they would just be sitting there all pissed with their arms crossed. The constant jumping up and clapping by the Democrats was a little much. I'm glad that they are supporting the President, but come on. It was a little too sycophant-like for me. Bill and I were pretty much just making fun of all of them and making up our own running commentary.

Leon and I decided that if we put beats to Biden and Pelosi's rapid blinking, we could probably sell that to Kanye and make a lot of money.
