No Fireflies in South Florida, Though

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I join a big group of people in games of touch rugby – one night in a field, the other on the beach. We play ‘till it’s too dark to see.

There’s something that makes me so damn happy about us all trying to squeeze the last minutes of playtime we can out of those last few inklings of light, like when you were a kid and you’d play and play ‘till it got too dark and then you’d catch fireflies.

JimJam,

I hope you are having fun in Dayton. I wish I could have seen you. I miss you a lot. I wish you were coming in for my bridal shower or bachelorette party. I guess I will just have to wait until October. Only 55 days away.

Love ya,
Carrie

I wish I could, too. Tell the airlines to make flights cheap again. Bastards.
