White Hot Hair
I feel like I’m emerging from a foggy swamp of germs.
I was sick all last week. This is the second time that a seemingly unrelated disease (sore throat, this time) morphed into a full-blown sinus infection and I AM SICK OF IT. No pun intended.
Here’s what’s been going on with me.
More new job stuff. Not a complete schedule overhaul, like last time, but big changes nonetheless. You all know what that means…
New haircut.
Okay, the new haircut is actually unrelated to the new job – it’s just a coincidence. But this is exactly what happened last time. Crazy new job news, hair appointment the next day, holy crap, I let my friend’s mom cut off all my hair.

I went to a Heat playoffs game Monday night.

The best thing about watching a basketball game when Usher is sitting in the front row is when we came back from halftime and they re-announced that warning about no profane language (ha!), profane gestures (ha, ha!), or throwing crap or disrupting the game or anything, they end it with, “Please contact an usher if you notice any of those things.”
And that opened things up for me to make a horrible joke to Matty, saying, “But how am I supposed to get Usher’s attention from all the way up here?”
Also, would you like to see the saddest thing ever? My neighbor’s dog had to have surgery.
Isn’t that pathetic? Every time I’m angry because I am STILL coughing up disgusting gunk from the sinus infection, I look at poor Polisson and get some perspective.
