Catching Up
Working from 4 a.m. to noon makes work time go fast, off time feel like a dream, and the rest of the time, you become obsessed with sleep. When you’re not actually sleeping.
I sleep like the dead every Friday night, and I really, really, really appreciate the weekends.
There’s so much crap going on in my life and in my head that I actually spent some time this week wondering if I was actually going crazy, or wondering if I was about to shut down like a PC. It’s not over, but I feel a little better now.
In the meantime, I have some catching up to do, here.
St. Patrick’s Day was nearly a month ago? How the hell did THAT happen? Good thing I took some pictures.

Scud turned 25, making me just slightly less of a cradle-robber.
There was cake:

The eating of the cake:

The destruction of the cake:

The traditional 25-year-old regression therapy, involving childhood toys and lost of crying and blaming your mother for all your problems:

Just kidding. It was a tricycle race in the Keys. One of my friends won a medal!

The traditional, “I’m 25 and can do whatever I want, like rent a car or start a gigantic brush fire” moment:

Kidding again, we didn’t start that. I don’t think. Oops, more regression therapy:

At Islands of Adventure. We rode the Hulk 3 times, Fire & Ice twice (Once Fire, once Ice, both in the front because you HAVE to), Matt started a new religion called “Confectionism” where he stuck a thumbprint of funnel cake powdered sugar on my forehead.

I forgot about it, and on the way out, I couldn’t figure out why this dazed little blond girl stared at me, until I remembered why.
Oh, and Matt won me a stuffed animal, by beating out a number of 2nd graders at Whack-A-Mole.

He didn’t like it much when I taunted the losers, but those kids have to learn somehow.
Also, that represents the first time a boy has ever won me anything stuffed. I’m really too old for that, but it was kind of cute, anyway. Next time, I want him to SHOOT me something and stuff it. Like a deer or an emu or a David Letterman. Something challenging.

Thanks for playing! See you next time.
