Totally Legal!
For the second night in a row, I’m having steamed asparagus, and potato chips with ranch dip, for dinner.
I fucking love being a grownup.
When I became a grownup, I told myself I could now do two things, with abandon, that no one would ever let me do before. And those two things are :
1. Scratch my mosquito bites
and
2. Eat ice cream whenver the hell I want – even for breakfast.
Freedom with food seems to be a big one with me – I was just thinking about this the other day, at breakfast, while I enjoyed the middles of my toast, leaving the crusts in a nice little Lincoln Log pile, while my boyfriend stared in bewilderment.
I don’t have to explain! And I love that I don’t have to eat the crusts!
Grownup!
Why do you love being a grownup?

I have the same feeling about food. What did Mom and Dad do to us when we were little?

They hoarded food, that’s what. I swear, that and the 9 p.m. dinners are responsible for 90% of my food issues.

Personally, I don’t think I can live without a meat, a starch, and veggies (not touching of course) because of those dinners.

I can, but I’ll confess: it feels weird.

We never did just have a salad for dinner, did we? Even Mom made hot dogs and mac & cheese. Man, I miss that…
