Commute
Fascinating things I see on my drive to work:
1. Big Al’s Gun Range. I WILL go there and learn how to shoot a gun. And possibly attempt to woo and date Big Al.
2. Sweeney’s 23 Hour Liquor Lounge. This one blows my mind every day, because WHAT IS THAT MYSTERIOUS, CLOSED 23rd HOUR? Which could it be? Logic has it that it’s, say, 5 – 6 a.m., but my luck has it that it’s “The one hour Jamie finally decides to suck it up and check the place out.”
3. The Booby Trap. Marquis says, “We’re nude, Dude!” But I’ve already been there.
4. PS House of Meat Supermarket. Below, it’s painted: Carniciera Latino. For all your bilingual meat needs. At first, I thought it was a post script… P.S…. We sell LOTS of MEAT! But then, I drove around and saw the front sign – it’s actually P’s House of Meat I. Does that imply that there are Houses of Meat II and II and maybe IV? Why, I do believe it does.

Judging from this, you have the best incentives for WNCon to be in Florida! We could spend the 23rd hour in the House of Meat. I’m totally convinced.

It’s the hour when they tally the receipts and close the books for the calendar day.
And BTW what about the Dominican Eatery that’s on the left past 441?
PS: Carniciera is spelled CARNICERIA. You’re in Broward, learn Spanish!

Thank you, Captain Literal!

There’s a “nudie bar” in a skeezy part of T.O. just outside downtown, and every year in the NHL playoffs, the marque says “Naked Chicks & Hockeystix!”

Yo, I took it easy on you, the same as your professors must have done in your classes, case in point; “For all your bilingual meat needs” connotes that meat is bilingual and that it has needs!
Moving on, you didn’t say anything about the R & B place on the right past 441. Neither did you mention the BBQ place on the right before 441, that’s open at 2:00am – Just perfect for the early morning munchies! Hmmm…BBQ’ed Ox tail at 2:00am. Who can resist?

I’m pretty sure the meat IS bilingual. I heard it speaking German.

I only see one interesting thing on my way home from work. A big huge sign for “Camp Toodik”. I think this may be a gay camp. Probably only boys. I just know that my non-existent kids will not be going there.

Dude, what is a gay camp?
